Power Performance Training Program

Volleyball is a sport of explosive power, speed, stamina, quick directional changes and fast reaction time. The goal of Power Academy’s Performance Training Program is to physically prepare athletes to meet these demands in order to compete at the highest level.

Power Training Academy has partnered with Mike Manning at Black Iron to develop the the BEST volleyball strength and conditioning program in North Texas.

Athletes will train two times per week, sixty minutes per session for four weeks. Black Iron gym is fully equipped with barbells, bumper plates, weightlifting rigs, plyometric box, sleds, pull-up bars, Airdyne bikes, glute/hamstring developers (GHD) and much, much more! The primary focus of the program is to increase overall strength, improve explosive movements, train quick directional change through improving acceleration and deceleration, and decrease reaction time. A linear weightlifting model will be used to achieve results as well as other accessory exercises.  All movements can be modified to meet the athlete’s developmental level and allow the athlete to progress safely. Not only will Power’s Performance Training Program improve an athlete’s athletic abilities, it will also significantly reduce the risk of serious injury. This program is designed for athletes 11 years and older.
