2025-2026 Tryout Process

About us

Power Volleyball Club was founded in 2015 by Anthony Duenas and Chris Finseth to establish and develop a year round club volleyball program that focuses on training the heart, body and mind to build elite volleyball athletes of all ages.

We are entering our 11th season and are conveniently located off highway 121 and Alma at Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX.

Please review the FAQ section for an explanation of the rules as well as clarification of frequently asked questions regarding tryouts.

How to prepare

Athletes interested in joining Power Volleyball should register to attend our Evaluation Clinics  starting in early May. These clinics will focus on skills development, competitive drills, and gameplay within an age group. These clinics are perfect opportunities to know our staff and club as well as ask questions. Evaluation Clinics are non-refundable.

  • Evaluation clinics will start in early May and run through our official tryouts and signing date.
  • It also highly recommended that your daughter attend our weekly skills clinics and camps, our coaches will also be using these events to evaluate for next seasons teams. you can find all our summer programming here.
  • Ask questions and request feedback. Our coaches operate with the utmost integrity and honesty and will be available to communicate after every event.
  • Determine which team is the best fit for your athlete by getting to know the coaches, understanding the team commitment, cost and schedule.
  • All camps, clinics, pre-tryouts, beach, and indoor training will take place at Craig Ranch, Address: 6145 Alma Rd. McKinney, TX 75070

What are evaluation clinics?

Evaluation clinics are designed for fast-paced drills and gameplay, tailored specifically for evaluation and consideration purposes for next seasons club teams. They serve as a prime opportunity for us to gain deeper insights into each athlete, to provide evaluations and make informed decisions regarding potential offers and team placements for the upcoming season.

In order to accommodate conversations we have planned our clinics to give buffer time so coaches can communicate with those in attendance. Non-Binding Verbal offers may be made during these events.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you attend these events if you wish to be considered for one of Power’s club teams.

What are non-binding offers?

It is Power Volleyball’s understanding that the North Texas Region (NTR) would like to allow families to shop multiple clubs to find the best fit for their daughter. Once families and clubs have found what they feel to be the best fit for player and team, both parties would like some level of assurance that a spot is held for the player. This is what is considered a nonbinding verbal offer.

According to NTR, this will allow families to freely look at and evaluate with other clubs of interest without feeling locked into their first decision of the first club they evaluate with.

What does a verbal offer mean at Power Volleyball?

When a Power coach extends a verbal offer, Power is committing to your family that we will reserve a spot on a specific team for your daughter to play on until July 8th, 2025, when we can officially sign a binding contract for the season.
